ECoR STARTED SWACHHTA PAKHWADA IN A MASSIVE SCALE


   Railway Employees took pledge to keep their premises clean and to motivate general public o­n cleanliness.

   Planned for fortnight long massive arrangements for Cleanliness Activities.

   Passengers, students, families, SHGs and other stake holders to participate in various activities during the Swachhta Pakhwada.

 


East Coast Railway has started the Swachhata Pakhwada in a big way giving special focus o­n cleanliness at Railway Station premises, Trains, offices, workshops, Maintenance Depots, Railway Hospitals and Railway Residential Areas.

 


General Manager, East Coast Railway Shri Sharad Kumar Srivastava administered oath o­n Swachhata to the employees & officers at its headquarters at Rail Sadan to maintain Cleanliness and helps to keep their surroundings clean & hygienic.

 


Railway Employees from the lowest level to apex are being participated in the Swachhata Pakhwada. Different programme like Prabhat Pheri, Seminars & Nukkad Natak (Street Play) are being conducted to aware the common people especially to passengers and Rail Users, during the fortnight.

  


East Coast Railway has taken massive awareness programme during the Swachhata Pakhwada by involving passengers, rail users & stake holders, etc. Paintings & Drawing competitions o­n the theme of Cleanliness, Anti-littering awareness, o­n-board cleanliness, cleanliness at Washing lines, Railway yards, tracks; cleanliness at work places, cleanliness at water installations including sources of water supply, water taps for drinking water at Stations and availability of water; Cleanliness at all toilet blocks at Railway Stations, Coaching Depots, Trains & surrounding areas will also be conducted during the Swachhata Pakhwada.

 


On the Oath taking programme held today forenoon at Rail Sadan, Employees of ECoR took pledge that they should neither litter nor let others to litter. They will initiate the quest for cleanliness with themselves, teir family, locality, village and their work place. They also took pledge that they believe, that the countries of the world that appear clean are so because their citizens don't indulge in littering nor do they allow it to happen. Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer Shri Manas Kumar Poddar co-ordinated the oath taking ceremony. All Principal Heads of the Departments, Senior officials and staff were present to mark the occasion.
