RAIL YATRA VRITANT AWARD COMPETITION:

ØGeneral public including railwaymen can participate

ØFirst prize of ₹10,000, second prize of ₹8000 and third prize of ₹6000 with five Consolation Awards of ₹4000 each

Bhubaneswar:

Every citizen of India travels by rail hundreds of times in his lifetime. The pleasant experiences of rail travel remain etched in his mind. By writing these sweet memories of rail travel, now he can win the award too.

The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) is organizing a competition “Rail Yatra Vritant Award Scheme at All-Railway Level” for all Indians including Railwaymen. The purpose of this competition is to improve railway facilities and also to promote the use of Hindi.

Cash prizes and citations will be given to the winners of this scheme. Under this, a first prize ₹10,000, a second prize ₹8000, and a third prize ₹6000 will be given. Apart from this, there are five Consolation Awards, in which ₹4000 will be given each.

The railway officers/employees of East Coast Railway can send their entries to Rajbhasha Department department till August 05, 2022, o­n any working day.

Apart from this, any Indian citizen can send his entry in duplicate by 31st August 2022 to the Assistant Director, Hindi (Training) Room No. 536-D, Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), Raisina Road, New Delhi-110001 invariably directly.

Some key points to note from the participants:

• Rail travelogue should be in Hindi language and original.

• Minimum 3000 words and maximum should be up to 3500 words.

• Rail travelogue should be typed in double space and have o­ne inch margin o­n all four sides.

• Pages must be numbered.

• Name, designation, age, office/residence address, mother tongue, mobile number, e-mail, total number of words of the story, etc. should be mentioned in capital letters at the beginning of the story o­n a full sheet of paper.

The officers/employees working in the service of the Central or State Government, who wish to participate in this scheme, will have to give a declaration to the effect that no case related to Vigilance/Discipline and Appeal Rules is pending or contemplated against them.

Applicants who are not in government service, they will have to give a declaration to the effect that neither any criminal case is going o­n against them nor they are facing any kind of punishment. Apart from this, all the participants will also have to mention in the declaration that – “The related rail travelogue is my original work, it has not been rewarded under any other award scheme.”
