Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Communications and Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Ji will visit Odisha on 21st June, 2022. During his visit, Shri Vaishnaw will join in Yoga Day.
On 21st June, 2022, Railway Minister will lead International Day of Yoga from Konark Temple Heritage Site where all Central Government Institutions will participate along with general public, students and experts. The Program at Konark Temple will be commencing from about 6.00a.m. in early morning to about 8.30a.m. on Yoga Day. About 2 thousand participants are expected to join in the International Day of Yoga event at Konark Temple.
International Day of Yoga is being Celebrated at 75 Heritage sites all over the country where Konark Temple from Odisha is being nominated. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji will also participate in Yoga Day from Mysuru through Video Conferencing.
International Day of Yoga 2022 is being celebrated on 21st June 2022 with the theme 'Yoga for Humanity' across the world with great enthusiasm. Yoga helps to stay energetic and have strong immune system. Yoga is an ancient ascetic practice originated in India that combines physical, mental and spiritual pursuits to achieve harmony of the body and mind. There is numerous benefits of practicing yoga regularly. United Nations General Assembly in December 2014 decided to celebrated International Day of Yoga which was implemented world wide since 21st June, 2015.
