GENERAL MANAGER, EAST COAST RAILWAY INSPECTS PURI RAILWAY STATION
Bhubaneswar, June 6, 2026:
Shri Parmeshwar Funkwal, General Manager, East Coast Railway, conducted a comprehensive inspection of Puri Railway Station today to review passenger amenities, safety standards, operational efficiency, and ongoing infrastructure development works.
During the inspection, the General Manager reviewed the progress of the ongoing station redevelopment works aimed at transforming Puri Railway Station into a modern and passenger friendly transport hub. He assessed the status of various infrastructure enhancement projects and instructed officials to ensure their timely completion while maintaining quality standards and minimizing inconvenience to passengers.
Shri D. Sunil, Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road Division, accompanied the General Manager during the inspection. Senior officers from East Coast Railway Headquarters and Khurda Road Division were also present.
The General Manager stressed the need for continuous improvement in passenger amenities, operational efficiency, and safety standards to meet the growing expectations of rail users.
The inspection reflects East Coast Railway's commitment to provide quality services and enhance overall travel experience for passengers at Puri, one of the most important pilgrimage destinations on the Indian Railways network.
