EAST COAST RAILWAY TO HOST ALL INDIA RAILWAY BHARAT SCOUTS & GUIDES JAMBORETTE AT BHUBANESWAR FOR FIRST TIME

 East Coast Railway is going to organize18th All India Railway Bharat Scouts & Guides Jamborette at Bhubaneswar from 6th to 11thJanuary,2018 where more than 2500 Railway Bharat Scouts & Guides volunteers from16Zonal Railwaysall over the countrywill participate.

In the 6 day long Camp, Scouts & Guides, Rovers & Rangers, Leaders & Organisers will perform their Scouting Skills in the field ofFirst Aid, Pioneering, Compass, Mapping and Backwoodsman Cooking etc along with Social Awareness activities, Disaster Management, Human Chain & Route March o­n Social Awareness and Pageant Showwill be performed.

Chief Personnel Officer cum State Chief Commissioner of Bharat Scouts & Guides of East Coast Railway Smt. Manju Ray has informed that Scouting activities develops in every child the fundamentals discipline and also makes them brave and strong enough to face any situation.

For the first time, East Coast Railway is organizing this mega event in Bhubaneswar where volunteers will learn and display their activities during any crisis and also exchange their culture, language, tradition, food habits, folklore and traditional dress along with social awareness.

The volunteers will also also conduct social awareness programmes through Human Chain, Route March, Swachh Bharat Skits/Street Plays etc., including flash mob to educate the community. In the evening, cultural programmes like traditional folk dances of different parts of the country will be performed, added Smt. Ray.

In the inaugural programme, Shri D. K. Gayen, Member Staff of Railway Board will be the Chief Guest and His Excellency, Governor of Odisha Shri S. C. Jamir will grace the occasion as Chief Guest in the concluding ceremony.
