RAILWAY PROJECTS AND EXTENSION OF TRAINS INAUGURATED BY RAILWAY MINISTER SURESH PRABHU
Railway Minister Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu has inaugurated various infrastructure related Railway Projects and extension of Trains from Bhubaneswar Railway Station through video conferencing in presence of Shri Naveen Patnaik, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Hon’ble MPs & MLAs today evening.
Among the announcements of various projects & amenities and extension of trains, Shri Prabhu flagged off of the extension of Khurda Road-Rajsunakhala-Khurda Road passenger up to Bolagarh Road & Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Rourkela Rajyarani Express up to Gunupur.
Railway Minister also laid the foundation stone for Khurda Road bypass line & Maintenance facilities for MEMU Units at Khurda Road, 4th line between Rourkela & Bondamunda at Rourkela, Multi Disciplinary Training Centre at Jagatpur in Cuttack through video conferencing from Bhubaneswar Railway Station.
Shri Prabhu also inaugurated the Raising & Extension of Platform No-1 & New Platform No-2 & New Approach Road at Jharsuguda Road and Double line between Handapa & Saragipali Stations in Angul-Sambalpur Doubling project through video conferencing from Bhubaneswar.
Apart from this, Shri Prabhu inaugurated one Lift & two Escalators at Bhubaneswar Railway Station for the benefit of passengers particularly senior citizens, differently able (Divyang) persons and patients.
Gracing the occasion, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik praised Railway Ministry for the development of Railways in this region and also urged to speed up the on-going Railway projects at the earliest.
Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas (Independent Charge) Shri Dharmendra Pradhan also praised Railways for infrastructural development of this region and urged to speed-up the projects by continuous review of Railway Board. Among others Shri Ashok Chandra Panda, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism & Culture, Shri Ramesh Chandra Majhi, Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Transport, Hon’ble MPs Dr. Prasanna Kumar Patasani, Shri Anubhav Mohanty, Hon’ble MLAs Shri Bijaya Kumar Mohanty, Shri Priyadarshi Mishra and Shri Naba Kishore Das graced the occasion.
Earlier, Shri Umesh Singh, General Manager, East Coast Railway welcomed the guests and informed about the performance of East Coast Railway. Shri Debaraj Panda, Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road offered vote of thanks.
